The School of Contemporary Art Free Workshops launches a training program for 2014-2015.
This year there are 2 departments, «CONTEMPORARY ARTIST» and «CURATOR OF ACTUAL ART PROJECTS».

We prefer applicants who have Bachelor’s degree of Arts in Fine Arts or in the Humanities. We also welcome final-year students of faculties of Fine Arts or Humanities. The applicants should show evidence of creativity and original thinking, have an idea of contemporary art, be motivated and want to develop in this area.

At the end of the training program the student acquires a certificate of the School’s own sample.

TRAINING DATES: October 1, 2014 — May 31, 2015; Tue, Wed, Thu 19:00-21:00 (sometimes till 23:00), Sat 12:00-18:00

NUMBER OF STUDENTS:

• «Contemporary Artist» — 35 (among them 8 government-sponsored students)
• «Curator of Actual Art Projects» — 10 (among them 2 government-sponsored students)

COST OF TRAINING:

• «Contemporary Artist» — 35,000 Russian Ruble.
• «Curator of Actual Art Projects» — 40,000 Russian Ruble.

NECESSARY FOR APPLICATION:

• Complete an Application form
• Write a letter of motivation (who you are and why you want to learn contemporary art)
• Make a portfolio of artworks (PDF). A portfolio of projects (if there are) — for curators.
