From the series «Translation of Time VIII»

Dybsky lives and works in two countries: Russia and Germany. Being born in Romania, and fully formed in Russia (when it still was USSR), the artist acquired a nomadic consciousness that knows no boundaries, rushing through space and time. Probably that was why the idea of “Translation of time” occurred so naturally. It is like an ancient Eidos – an "abstract phenomena," which can be implemented only in abstract manner. Dybsky began “Translation of time” series in 1992 and he is still working on it today. The artist insists on the English version of the title, not allowing translating it in texts and explications. This is due to a universal meaning of the word “translation”, as "radiation" or "broadcasting", in this case, the broadcasting of the energy radiated by the images from the past.
