The Moscow Museum of Modern Art (MMOMA) is pleased to present an important new acquisition into its collection. It consists of ten graphic sheets from the 1990s featuring a depiction of two monsters, from the famous series «Installation for a Poor Cleaning Lady» by Dmitri Alexandrovich Prigov (1940-2007) — a poet and an artist, a foremost representative of Russian art in the second half of the twentieth- and early twenty-first centuries.

The Moscow Museum of Modern Art in partnership with the Museum of Russian Lubok and Naïve Art presents two major exhibition projects: «NAÏVE...NO» and «Creation». United under the theme of naïve art the exhibitions at MMOMA are conceived to trace the history of the trend by placing works of self-taught artists in the context of the 20th century art process, to find common ground between naïve art and such radical directions as avant-garde, conceptualism and primitivism, as well as to show works of artists of naïve art from Russia and Europe.

The Festival PLAYMMOMA: Play with Contemporary Art!, developed for kids ages 4-15 and their parents, will provide fun and educational activities for kids by the Moscow Museum of Modern Art.

Moscow Museum of Modern Art presents an exhibition project, which will introduce the viewers of Samara to the collection of artists, who belong to the so-called informal wave, i.e. from nonconformists of the 60s, ideological inspirers of creative resistance to official art and stagnation, to the generation of young conceptualists.

Moscow Museum of Modern Art presents the exhibition One Within The Other. Art of New and Old Media in the Age of High-speed Internet. Halls of the third floor of the MMOMA venue at Petrovka street will contain eight art projects, produced with different materials and media, from painting to electronic means of communication, in the period of 2012-2015.

Selected artworks from the collection of Umar Dzhabrailov, one of the few earnest and consistent collectors of contemporary art in Russia. 

February 21 – April 6, 2014

A large-scale exhibition project comprising the Russian art dating to the 20th and 21st centuries. The artworks on display center on the subject of circus. Alexander Rodchenko, Mark Chagall, Oleg Kulik, Mitki Art Group etc. The works are exhibited next to authentic circus props, costume designs, documentary photographs and videos.

During 2011-2012, workers of the Scientific Department together with the workers of the PR Department elaborated and organized a multipart interactive project titled «ELECTIONS: exhibition of a single artwork from collections of Moscow Museum of Modern Art».
