MMOMA presents a new display of works from its vast collection of 20th and 21st-century art. This time, the exhibition is structured around a dialogue between the museum collection and eleven invited artists and art groups.

The exhibition is timed to mark the 15^th anniversary of the MMOMA. The curatorial group headed by Executive Director Vasili Tsereteli is going to present the museum history in a rather unexpected fashion. FORM Bureau designed the architecture of the exhibition to come up with a one-off tour route so that the spectator may be able to see the museum from the inside after knowing all its ins and outs. The exhibition “Fortune Museum”  is not merely a reason to give a thought or two to history and things as they stand today, it is also a fair attempt at getting a glimpse of the future. 

The goal of the 5th thematic exhibition is to consider our common perceptual patterns in view of the critical undercurrent of all Western pictorial thought — the opposition between the «true» and the «phantom» image.

The new display follows the international museum practice of representing the museum’s collection in the form of annual changing exhibitions.

If I Only Knew... is a new interactive display intended to familiarize the widest audience with some new forms and current trends in contemporary art.

On December 15, 2009, Moscow Museum of Modern Art celebrates 10 years of existence. The first serious anniversary is an occasion for summing things up, so we present a new display that includes more than 200 works by leading Russian artists from the Museum collection.

The display consists of more than three hundred works executed in various media: from traditional painting, graphics, sculpture and photography to kinetic objects and video installations.
