The work "Untitled" from the collection of the Museum is an example of classical assemblage. On the gray, pasty primed canvas a part of an ancient, gilded armchair is standing out brightly. It is seemingly turned inside out: red cloth is pulled between the wooden legs. It seems torn flesh, similar to "meat" of the Dutch still lifes. Rukhin plays at the confrontation of the old and the new. The "torn" item of antiquity arouses culture shock but at the same time acquires an unusual, modern foreshortening.
