Using a common stud Chezhin is creating his own imaginary art history, based on the works of his favorite artists: Marcel Duchamp, Kazimir Malewich, Andy Warhol, Rene Magritte, Alexander Rodchenko, Paul Klee, James Rosenquist, Salvador Dali, Ilya Kabakov and others. The stud has certainly turned into Chezhin's brand in Saint Petersburg there even exists the Museum of the Stud, on the legendary Pushkinskaya, 10. The stud displaces familiar accents in Chezhin’s works: it does not fulfil its main function as bracing but becomes the main protagonist of the work. At the same time exactly with the help of a stud the author focuses spectator's attention on typical features of selected works and moreover he even "parodies" their particular works. Thus, he involves the viewer into an absorbing postmodern game grounded on quotation and recognition. His "Hommage" is turning into an exciting story of art for children and adults.
